THE THEME FOR JULY 2020: If you 're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in? Slow down and enjoy the ride.
So it's July already. I just wanted to check in with everybody and see, how's it going? How are you doing? How are you coping? How are you coping with the world right now? What are you doing for self care and thinking about all that. I just want to say that no matter what you're doing, what's happening, how you're coping, it's all okay. Because it has been intense. These are intense times on the planet and the energy has been intense. And even if you think you're a person who's not that tuned into the energies, don't kid yourself, we all feel this. We've had a lot of change and a big shif and there is a lot of grief happening on the planet. And you know, we all are feeling that. So I just want to say, I hope that you're doing okay. And I hope you're taking care of yourself. I think it's good to be drinking a lot of water right now. supporting yourself maybe with some herbal teas and things like that. You can take an Epsom salt bath, which is a really good way to detox and also listen to your favorite music. Take time out for yourself. If you feel like you need to take a nap, take a nap. If you can get outside and go for a walk and that makes you feel good, do that, but whatever's happening just it's okay. It's however you're dealing with it. It is okay. I've had days literally where I have cried for the whole day because just of the sadness of everything that's been going on. And then the next day I'm good and I can get some work done. But then the following day after that, I might just have to watch Netflix all day. These are the times we're living in. And my advice is just please be kind to yourself. This is not the time to be talking down to ourselves and shoulding ourselves. We've done enough of that in our lives. Screw that, be kind to yourself, allow yourself to do what you need to do. And when you need to do it, that is my advice too. As we move into July and the second half of 2020, which I heard someone describe as a shitshow, and I have to agree it has been, but that doesn't mean we want to give up hope about what could be because out of chaos comes possibilities. We know that. This kind of goes back to what I was just talking about because there never has been a time like this on this planet, we’ve never had an opportunity like this, where we can actually just kick back, take some time, and get to know ourselves, because we’re usually racing all the time to get to the next thing. Well, guess what? There's always just the moment you're in, but if you're not actually in that moment, then you're really kind of missing out on your life and you're missing out on yourself. THE TOOL FOR THE MONTH: So my advice for this month and the tool for this month is I want you to practice mindfulness... be aware of what's going on around you. Take some time, be mindful, go sit outside or go sit somewhere for 10 minutes without your phone. You could bring your phone, see if you can even sit somewhere and not look at your phone for 10 minutes, set your timer for 10 minutes, sit, be in your environment, watch yourself, listen to your mind, let yourself get still and silent and just see what comes of that. And if you can do that every day in the month of July, that would be awesome. So again, the theme is if you're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in? So let's slow down and enjoy the ride.
WEEK ONE: Monday, July 6- Sunday, July, 12, 2020
THE THEME: If “Plan A” didn't work out, stay cool, the alphabet has 25 more letters. This is so such an encouraging message. I don't know who said that, but I love that because it's true. I mean, we have to be resilient, especially now we have to realize that we might be coming up with things that we think are going to be the way to go, the thing to do whatever, but that might not actually be it. And if something doesn't work out, the best thing you can do is pivot, pivot, pivot, and just look for what could possibly be your next plan, because you like it says the alphabet has 25 letters. So if Plan A doesn't work out, stay cool. THE TOOL: Take an inventory of what you are doing right now. What is your Plan A? What is it that you're working on? I want you to just take an inventory of it and see how it feels.
Find out for yourself because it's possible that you may be feeling burned out. Things might be are hard. Things take too much time. It's not fun for you. Well then, guess what? Planning may not be working out and you may need to pivot to Plan B whatever that is. THE TOOL: So this particular week in time is a great time to just reevaluate where you're at and decide if you need to pivot to a different direction. And that's exciting actually. Let me know how that works out.
WEEK TWO: Monday, July 13, - Sunday, July 19, 2020
THE THEME: How Much Better Can it Get? - Dr. Dain Heer I love this week’s theme. How much better can it get? It kind of is like the theme from June, which was Hello, Beautiful. THE TOOL: This is kind of the same way, because no matter what freaking happens, I want you to use the phrase, how much better can it get? So let's say you're walking along and you find a quarter on the ground and you pick it up and you say, how much better can it get? Well then maybe you get home and someone has sent you money for some reason that you didn't expect. How much better can it get? I mean, we don't know what's going to happen, but if you just keep saying how much better can it get? You might be really surprised. And I have used this tool in my own life. And it's amazing. And even if things are shitty, seriously, if things are shitty, if you can stop, regroup and just think, okay, how much better can I get? Even if it's shitty, because that allows the space for things to improve. If you're all focused on how much something sucked and blah, blah, blah. Well then guess what? Like attracts like, and you're going to get probably more of that, but if you can...STOP, take a breath and think, okay, okay, okay, let’s reframe and how much better can it get? How much better can it get? And when things are going, right, how much better can it get? Seriously, try this this week and see if things don't get better. So that's your tool. Just use that phrase. How much better can it get? No matter what's going on, center yourself with the phrase, how much better can it get? It's fun. You're going to have fun doing this really.
WEEK THREE: Monday, July 20 - Sunday, July 26, 2020
THE THEME: She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails. -Elizabeth Edwards. I freaking love that quote because power it's all about power and knowing who we are and knowing that we can stand in storms and we aren't going to get blown away by the wind. No, no, no. We know we can stand there and we'll just adjust our sails. THE TOOL: So the tool for this week is to write yourself a story about a time when you did this, a time when you thought you might get blown away and you did not. We've all lived through stuff like this, but I want you to remind yourself because it's important to remember the warrior that you are. So write a story about the time that you thought things might blow you away and that you didn't get blown away and you just adjusted your sails If you want to share that in the Facebook group, I would love that! These are the kinds of things that are so inspiring to each other because women are strong, we're strong and we forget how strong we are because we're busy being strong. So share your stories because we need to encourage and inspire each other!
WEEK FOUR: Monday, July 27th - Sunday, August 2nd, 2020
THE THEME: Dream Big! Because we have been dealing with a lot of things just this year and previous years too. But this year, like I said earlier, it has been a shit show. And when you're constantly bombarded with a lot of heavy information, which we have been just with everything that's been going on with the COVID, with the protesting it's heavy. And when that happens, it's hard to dream about anything because we become hardened in a way. And we, it almost feels like we become neutralized on things because we're tired. It's exhausting to hear all this information. It's exhausting to know that so many people are leaving the planet right now. It's exhausting to be aware of the protesting and the injustices that are going on and have been going on. It's hard. And, and as women, we are compassionate creatures and empathetic creatures and it hurts our heart. And it's exhausting. THE TOOL: When you're exhausted, it's hard to dream, but this week I want you to just set aside a little bit of time for yourself. And I want you to dream. I want you to dream about what could be, and it doesn't matter how it doesn't matter why, it’s all about what could be. So, what is your vision for the world, and for yourself? What is it? Put it down on paper, write out your dream, read it every day at least for this week or maybe for a while. Because like I said earlier, possibilities come from chaos. When things get crazy, things can change and change rapidly. And we've seen that. So use the theme of dream big to actually do that. Write down your dreams, look for what can come from this chaos, find your possibilities and be true to yourself. Remember if you're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in that's the overall theme? So it was, let's just slow down and enjoy the ride. PS Remember to use HOW15, when you book a session with me at my website, and that will give you 15% off your first session. Use the code HOW15 in the booking notes, and also watch for information to come about Aligning with Your Intuition, which is going to be a FREE Five-Day Challenge.
