The Colors of Your Week: April 2-8, 2018Just when you might be feeling like you're ready to throw in the towel, or wondering just what the hell is 'really' going on, here comes this week with some good news! We start off within an energy of 'healing, healed and healer', whichever one of those words resonates for you is the right one. The good news here is that whatever the situation that comes to mind, there is healing energy surrounding you and it! Take a breath, cutie. Everything is ultimately going to be okay! Take a moment if you can to sit with this energy sometime during Monday or Tuesday and really feel what this means for you... take in the healing that this moment brings. This truly is a gift for everyone involved. The good vibes continue as we roll into Wednesday and Thursday and you may feel like your wishes are finally being granted... what you've asked for may be coming true! How exciting is that?! When wishes start to come true and things start to go right, is a true sign that you have aligned with the flow of your own life, so congratulations, cutie! Stop for a moment and feel the power and truth of that statement. You know when you're in the flow and when you're not. Now is the time to honor that knowingness and your good fortune. Some tips to keep the flow going: - Spend some quiet time in nature, even if it's just a few minutes appreciating the sounds of the birds, the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. - Be in gratitude for all the beauty and support in your life, even if it's something small. - Breathe deep when you're feeling any sort of stress. - Color, color, color (if you're in The Coloring Book Clubhouse... color this week's picture with the intention to stay in the flow). This is a time when what you say or think may appear quickly, so be mindful of where your placing yoru focus with your thoughts and of the words that you speak! Here's a great reminder of just how powerful words are: Finally, moving into the weekend, it's time to just take it easy. Relinquish control and let things come to you. This actually plays on the energy of midweek and being in the flow. The more we can be in the flow, the more easily things will go! (We all know the truth of that statement! Acceptance = Ease. Resistance = Difficulty). Know that you can now put down whatever it is you've been carrying... you know what I'm talking about, right? Know that right now, you can trust that everything is okay and that you can rest and take it easy and let the universe handle it. Either way, cutie, it's time to take a break, take a rest, take it easy. Relax and enjoy yourself this weekend. Indulge yourself while your worries are on the back burner and see what can happen when you're not pushing or powering your way through things. This whole week is a great week to spend some time in nature if you can. Cuties! The week starts off with a clear message: It's time to rejuventate! What does that mean exactly? Well... have you been feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, burnt out, over-scheduled, over-judged (by yourself) for not being enough, having enough, doing enough? Does any of this sound familiar? If so, you'll be happy to know that now is the time to take the time to rejuvante and move into some serious self-care. This could look like a mini-vacation (sometimes a mini vacation looks like hiding in the bathroom and taking an epsom salt bath with music, candles and no distractions), or maybe a hike or walk around the neighborhood is your thing and of course, there's always COLORING! (LOL) Just take some time now to acknowledge that you're overdone and it's okay to take time for yourself! Midweek is all about raising your vibration... if that sounds interesing, read on! Everything is energy, cuties (including you!)... sometimes when we're shifting from one phase to another, we can actually feel the shift... this could be in the form of vague physical ailments, challenges, phantom pains or other things... do not worry, do not panic, just hang tight and give things a little bit of time to settle down. All that's happening is your body is letting go of old energy and patterns that we no longer need, which is pretty cool when you think about it. It's a great time now to consciously let go of (or chuck it in the f*ck it bucket) useless thoughts and feelings of not being good enough.. You are definitely enough, please don't ever forget it. Align now with what feels good... those thoughts and emotions that show up and lift you, not the ones that bring about worry, uncertainty or fear. Keep choosing the lighter thoughts and see what happens. The weekend's energy empowers you and encourages you to Speak Up! Is there something you've been simmering on, but haven't had the courage or strength to tell your truth about it? Now is the time, cutie... do not delay. You'll be amazed at how much lighter you feel and you may even gain some new understandings to something you believed you were already an expert in.
It's more important now than ever to be your authenic self and speak your authentic truths, even if not one other person in the world besides you believes them. As we move into Wednesday/Thursday, the energy continues to support you in being you with a big-time reminder to trust divine planning and timing. Are you trying to rush something? Are you pushing when you should be letting go? Are you obsessed with details that you can't really control? Are you feeling defensive and sensitive about things which ultimately don't matter? The Coloring Book Coach has one word of advice for you here: When those thoughts show up, picture the sign above, because they are not helpful. Now is the time to trust that all is well... the divine plan is happening and the timing is just right. All that's required of you right now is to STOP going there in your mind and relax! (I hear coloring is good for that! ;) ) The theme continues as we move into the weekend, the energy aligns so that if we have done our work earlier in the week, we have the ability to upgrade our vibration. This whole week is like a spiritual housecleaning, really.. it's all about saying goodbye to patterns and habits which are holding us back. What can you do this weekend to support those changes? What are some of your favorite (and supportive and even indulgent) self-care practices that help you feel great, but you don't seem to ever take enough time for? Those are the things you want to be taking time for this weekend. Honor yourself, cutie. Trust life and it's timing. Trust you and that ultimately, all is well. Come have fun with us! It happens to the best of us, we're going along fine and all of a sudden, something disrupts our calm. Life is filled with tasks that must be done and stresses that come out of nowhere. Nobody can blame you for losing your cool now and then.
That is why I created this list of 10 sure-fire mood changers that for you. Distracting yourself, even for 10 minutes can rescue the entire day. Below you will find 10 suggestions you can use right now to fight the stresses threatening your to ruin your day. There arefive ideas for when you have the luxury of a lot of time and 5 for when your schedule is full and squeezing a moment of relief feels impossible. If you have 30 minutes or more: 1. Color with your left hand! Shameless endorsement here: You’ve Got This Superwoman, an empowering coloring book journal is just right for this. Pick a white page, grab your favorite coloring tools and go to town using only your left hand. Go a little crazy! If you go outside the lines, so what? Work it! Let the stress flow away as the colors appear! 2. Take an Epsom salt bath. Use 2 full cups of salt (lavender scented if you can find it, or you can add your own Lavender Essential Oil) Epsom salt is inexpensive and you can find it at just about anywhere...it’s often with the medical supplies. It’s a great way to destress because it literally pulls the stress out of you by detoxifying your tissues. If you’ve been super stressed and anxious, put your head under...let it work it’s magic on your brain. To enhance this whole experience, I recommend candles and calming music and a bath of at least 30 minutes or more. When you drain the bath water, make a clear intention to LET GO of whatever is ready to go. Allow the Universe to bring thoughts and people to your mind and feel their energy go down the drain with the water. Then take a cool refreshing shower and rinse off all the residue, salt and energetic. Breathe deeply and own your new energy. 3. Journal! Write, write and write some more! (If you have You’ve Got This, Superwoman, use it! If not, any notebook will do!) Don’t hold back, put it all out on paper... all the stresses, frustrations, misunderstandings, anxiety...whatever is on your mind, dump it all here. You’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel when it’s all over. If it’s something that you don’t need anymore... rip it out and rip it up or maybe even burn it! 4. If you’re a Coloring Book Clubhouse member, you can listen to previous teleseminars which are each about 30 minutes long and filled with tips and tools to help you manage your life without biting someone’s head off. Bonus points for stress control if you do this while taking a walk, exercising or coloring! Double bonus points if you’ve joined the Clubhouse, which is an automatic way to help destress. 5. Let yourself go and enjoy a funny movie... set some time aside and lose yourself in a good movie that makes you laugh or feels supportive. I highly recommend the Hallmark channel movies. They show people dealing with challenging situations and stress with grace, ease and compassion. No one gets too angry and if they do, they take responsibility and apologize. It’s a great way to see what our own potential is in managing our emotions and also a fun escape for a couple of hours. Of any movie that you know makes you laugh... even funny videos on YouTube can change your day! If you have 30 minutes or less: 1. Color (with your dominant or non-dominant hand). You can work a lot of stress quickly by choosing the black background pages in You’ve Got This, Superwoman. It’s easy to color in less than 30 minutes... non-dominant hand is still recommended for fastest results! 2. Start your day off in a good mood by setting your alarm clock to your favorite dance song... I love “Happy” by Pharell Williams or “We’re All in This Together” Sam Roberts Band....those two get me up and moving and it’s hard to focus on stress when you’re boogieing your way to the bathroom! lol Try it and let me know if you don’t find yourself smiling! If you have a song that makes you happy and gets you moving in the morning, please share it here in the comments. 3. Breathe - you can try the 4-7-8 technique recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil. This is a great one to do if you have trouble falling asleep at night or anytime when things are feeling a bit out of control. It’s easy, quick and no one needs to know that you’re destressing. 4. Use the Superwoman pose to increase confidence and decrease stress and anxiety. It only takes 2 minutes for your nervous system to shift and for you to feel better when you do this! The Superwoman pose is when you stand like Superwoman.. .with your hands on your hips and your feet firmly planted on the ground. Try it! You'll be amazed at how much better you can feel in just 2 minutes. 5. Be your own cheerleader. Sure it's nice to have someone pat your back and tell you how awesome you are, but sometimes there is no one there to encourage you! Cheering yourself up is easier than you think. Put up sticky notes reminding yourself of just how awesome you are (or cut out pages from You’ve Got This, Superwoman and stick them up around the house). Stop when you see a mirror and really look into your own eyes and tell yourself that you’ve got this, you’re wonderful and you love you! It only takes a second to acknowledge your beautiful self, so go for it the next time you see a mirror! Remember, we are all in this together. Well, guess what? This week you have your chance. The energy is super supportive right now for correcting our mistakes. How exciting is that, really? Maybe it was something you said that you regret, maybe you're stuck in a revolving conflict with someone, maybe you reacted in a way that you wish you wouldn't have... there's a lot of things that can happen that leave us feeling like we want to fix them, right? Here's your chance! It starts with getting real with yourself and acknowledging that everyone makes mistakes and it's OKAY! Really! It happens. So, go ahead and set pride aside while looking at your mistakes. We're just looking here... we're not adding fuel to our own uncomfortable fire by beating ourselves up or feeling remorseful. Look at your mistakes with a cold eye.. make them impersonal and forgive yourself. You and I both know that you were (and always are) doing the best you could with what you had to work with at that moment in time. Admitting your mistakes to yourself is huge, and if it's feels right to you, now is the time to correct them to the best of your ability.... AS LONG AS YOU CAN DO SO WITHOUT FURTHER HURTING OR HARMING YOURSELF OR OTHERS. Apologize if you need to, ask for forgiveness, give forgiveness, and make amends. You've got this, cutie. We all make mistakes. It's okay. The energy starts to shift as we move into Wednesday/Thursday... it's a very encouraging time and a great time to dream big! Shoot for the moon, cutie! Don't hold back! It's a time right now were we can clearly see the potential of what's here for us when we get real, admit our mistakes and commit to changing... we've opened space for something new to show up which aligns with our highest self. And, that's GREAT NEWS!
Take some time now to tap into your creativity and do a little dreaming... don't limit yourself - don't try to figure out how your dreams will come true - just really let yourself go on what might be possible for you! You're a powerful being and the only one like you on the planet... that alone should excite you about your potential. Align yourself with this positive energy and practice good self care to support it... disengage from negativity, cutie and hold the vision of your dreams being possible! The weekend shows up and it's all about joy! Your joy, cutie! Express your joyful self! Be your joyful self. Notice how much lighter you feel from clearing the mistakes of the past earlier this week and allowing yourself to reach for the stars and believe in your dreams.
